March 2nd ~ Underground Edition

Hello again, thanks for tuning in, this is Bill Everatt, with news about the March 2nd update of the Underground Edition on Celtica Radio.

This week, we listen to the words and music of rock band Myak Indicator.

Andy John is talking a well earned rest this week, so in his usual slot, I’ll be talking to Andre Van Wyk from Bridgend County Borough Council about this years Gathering Youth Festival.

The Urban Legends continue with the creepy tale of The Visitor at Waunfawr.

Also who said this?  “When a man tells you that he got rich through hard work, ask him: ‘Whose?”

Plus this week, we’ve got more new music with information on the artists from amongst others The Vale, Urban Ego, The Whethermen, Fairfax, Heidi and Paul Taneja.

February 24th Underground Edition

Hello again, this is Bill Everatt, with news of the February 24th update of the Underground Edition, starting at 9:30PM UK time.

This week, we have another chance to listen to the words and music of the band Avalon Way, plus we also have some details about where you can go and see them live and exactly what they are up to right now.

Andy John is talking about Blackpool council and how they’re playing Nanny, in wanting to carpet the floors of a community centre that pensioners use for ballroom dancing (for which you need a slippery floor). So the pensioners are buggered and have buggered off to a local school which, of course, is run by the very council that said the slippery floor was, well, slippery and they might hurt themselves.

After a short break the Urban Legends return with the ancient story of the Night Watch.

Also who said this?  “Cats are smarter than dogs. You can’t get eight cats to pull a sled through snow.”

Plus this week, we’ve got more new music with information on the artists from amongst others Lawrence Cresswell, Heidi, Six Point Five, Nova Celtica, The Breakers and moment Sarah Warne.

Pause for Thought - Feb 08

In the garden the children were shouting at each other. Mum went out and asked what they were quarrelling about. “We’re not quarrelling,” said the eldest, “we’re just playing Mummy and Daddy”.

When I hear young children using foul language I often wonder what kind of language the parents are using in front of the children as they obviously learn it from somewhere. Are you setting an example to those around you? How about starting today?

February 17th Underground Edition

Hello again, thanks for tuning in, this is Bill Everatt with news about the February 17th update of the Underground Edition.

In the show I talk to Jan Prichard about a new website which has been set up to promote this part of Wales to not only the local area, but also the rest of the world, and it’s called the Best of Bridgend.

Also who said this? “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

Plus this week, we’re taking a break from the Urban Legends but I did send Andy John out on a mission, more about that in around a quarter of an hour. We’re also playing some great new music with information on the artists from amongst others Paris Keeling, Amy Rachman, Matthew James White, Steely James, Guido Mayer and Bone Box.
